Celebrating Coast Seniors
As the curtains draw on this year’s Seniors Festival, the Terrigal Electorate came together to honour its outstanding seniors at the Local Senior’s Afternoon Tea, hosted by none other than the esteemed Member for Terrigal, Adam Crouch.
It was a heartwarming affair, filled with gratitude and celebration, as Mr. Crouch highlighted the remarkable contributions of the nominees for the Local Senior Award. These nominees, nominated by their loved ones and the community, showcased the diverse ways in which they enrich and support the local community.
From volunteering with surf clubs to leading tai chi classes, and even providing free furniture delivery for those in need, each nominee left an indelible mark on Terrigal’s social fabric. Mr. Crouch expressed his utmost privilege in having such incredible seniors in his electorate, extending his heartfelt congratulations to the awardees.
Let’s take a moment to recognise these remarkable individuals:

- Peter Bailey, whose leadership at Forresters Beach Retirement Village has enhanced communal spaces.
- Liz Oldfield, whose Tai Chi classes promote health and wellbeing in Macmasters Beach.
- Jan Consoli, a lifelong volunteer with the Empire Bay Progress Association.
- Kim Petley, a stalwart volunteer at Terrigal Surf Life Saving Club.
- Robyn Warburton, for her contributions to the Bouddi Society and Wagstaffe to Killcare Community Association.
- Gillian Winchester, whose involvement spans Erina Rotary Club, Coast Shelter, and Central Coast Lifeline.
- Nik Poulos, a pillar of the Central Coast retail and business community.
- Jenny Hartich, whose impact resonates across Yattalunga, Saratoga, and Davistown.
