The NSW Liberal Party has unveiled its candidates for the Central Coast Council elections, pledging a back-to-basics approach centered on effective governance. The team consists of local professionals with diverse backgrounds in business, finance, law, and public service, all dedicated to addressing the pressing needs of the community.

Leading the Gosford East Ward is Jared Wright, an Avoca Beach local and financial services consultant. Wright’s experience spans across corporate clients in sectors like asset management, banking, and government, positioning him as a strong advocate for fiscal responsibility and housing reform.

The Entrance Ward candidate, Rachel Stanton, is a lawyer specializing in major projects and construction. With a background in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, Stanton aims to push for much-needed road repairs, debt reduction, and responsible development to benefit the local community.

In Gosford West Ward, small business owner and former police officer Trent McWaide takes the lead. With three automotive businesses under his belt and extensive law enforcement experience, McWaide focuses on delivering strong leadership and ethical governance to ensure efficient council operations.

John McNamara, former Deputy Mayor of Wyong Council and telecommunications executive, heads the Wyong Ward team. McNamara emphasizes the importance of thorough financial scrutiny and securing state and federal funding to revitalize community spaces and improve local infrastructure.

The candidates collectively share a vision of prioritizing community needs, particularly road repairs, debt management, and infrastructure development. With their combined expertise, they promise to steer the Central Coast Council towards greater accountability, integrity, and sustainable growth.

This back-to-basics approach is aimed at restoring community confidence in local government, ensuring that the region receives its fair share of funding and services while focusing on long-term solutions that benefit residents.
