Chronicle Counsel: ANZAC Day at Ettalong Diggers

Anzac Day Ettalong Diggers

With Anzac Day 2021 only a few weeks away, Ettalong Diggers Club has released information regarding their plans.

All three ANZAC Day services on the Peninsula will be hosted in the Ettalong Diggers Club.

Those services being 5.30am The Dawn Service, 8.00am The Vietnam Vets Service and 10.30am the Mid Morning Service.

There will not be any Services at the Woy Woy nor Ettalong Beach Cenotaphs.

The services in Ettalong Diggers must comply with the Club’s COVID-19 Safety Plan

Consequently, all three services will be strictly by invitation only with invitations being restricted to current and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel, partners and family along with current or former Service personnel from other countries & partners and limited invited dignitaries.

Anzac Day Ettalong Diggers

At an announcement on Tuesday 9th March Ettalong Diggers Club encouraged locals to celebrate as they did last year “safely at home”.

Ettalong Diggers Club regrets that public invitations will not be possible and subsequently must ask members of the public to please recognise ANZAC Day 2021 in the same way that ANZAC Day 2020 was so beautifully remembered.

These plans are subject to change to accommodate changes that may happen with COVID-19.

All three services will be live streamed via Facebook for the Community.
