Gosford RSL wins two years running
On Tuesday night at the RSL & SCA Dinner Gosford RSL Club was awarded the Spirit of Anzac Award by the RSL & Services Clubs Association.
The Award recognises a club that has made an outstanding contribution throughout the year to its members and the local community, and which epitomises the sacrifices of those who served in the defence of the nation and in the traditions of the ANZACs – courage, endurance, initiative, discipline, and mateship – values on which RSL and services clubs were founded.
A spokesperson for Gosford RSL said, “We are very proud and honoured to be recognised with this award for the second consecutive year!”
This is the second year in a row that Gosford RSL has won this very prestigious award.
The club is a shining example of commitment to the community and its members.
Gosford RSL regularly holds fundraising raffles, and support numerous organisations and charities including its 15th year of the Gosford RSL Max Potential Program. A commitment of over $600,000 has been made to date.
Additionally, a group of managers from Gosford RSL Club spent one night being cold and uncomfortable for the Coast Shelter sleep out, but it was only one night. They chose to do this to help people who have no choice and raise much needed funds for Coast Shelter.
These are just two examples of many that showcase Gosford RSL’s commitment to the community.
