Local advocate recognised for his tireless efforts

In a ceremony celebrating the achievements of remarkable individuals, Bob Morris of the Kincumber Nautical Village was presented with the prestigious NSW Government’s Community Service Award. Congratulated  by Member for Terrigal, Adam Crouch, Mr. Morris was recognized for his outstanding dedication and service to the local community, particularly his advocacy for fairer regulations for land lease communities.

Mr. Crouch commended Mr. Morris for his tireless efforts in lobbying for changes to the Residential (Land Lease) Communities Act 2013, aiming to better protect those living in these communities.

“Bob’s advocacy for change has helped some of the most vulnerable, not just in our local community, but for residents living in land lease communities right across New South Wales,” Mr. Crouch emphasized.

Mr. Morris’s deep understanding of the issues faced by residents in land lease communities, particularly those at the Kincumber Nautical Village, proved invaluable to Mr. Crouch.

“Often the best way for a Member of Parliament to truly understand the impacts of legislation are to be able to hear and see it firsthand, and Bob was always willing to provide his time and valued advice whenever necessary,” Mr. Crouch explained.

The Member for Terrigal went on to praise Mr. Morris’s selfless commitment to his community, stating, “While Bob did not seek recognition for his relentless advocacy on behalf of his community, this is exactly why he is a truly outstanding recipient for the NSW Community Service Award.”

Mr. Morris’s dedication to fighting for change and his willingness to share his knowledge and insights have made a significant difference in the lives of many vulnerable residents. His efforts have not only improved the living conditions for those in his local community but have also had a positive impact on land lease communities across the state.

Upon receiving the award, Mr. Morris expressed his gratitude and affirmed his commitment to continue his advocacy work. “I am deeply honored for this award, and I look forward to continuing to work on behalf of some of the most vulnerable members of our community,” he stated.

The Central Coast Chronicle congratulates Bob Morris on this well-deserved recognition and commends him for his unwavering dedication to serving the community.
