If you’ve been looking for a swim school that assists children with disabilities, look no further. An exciting offering is opening soon on the Coast.
Rainbow Club, a network of social swimming clubs for children with a disability, is delighted to announce the opening of its next new club at Tuggerah.
Rainbow Club has been operating in the Sydney metropolitan area for over 50 years! The club is a registered provider with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Families can use their child’s NDIS plan to cover the costs.
Jarrod Anthony is the Northern NSW Development Coordinator. He is looking forward to expanding the network of 34 clubs across NSW.
With the guidance of the NSW Regional Board, Rainbow Club has successfully opened four new clubs over the past 12 months, including Kurri Kurri, Valentine, Toronto and Newcastle City, with over 100 members being overly pleased by their experiences.
Jarrod said, “The clubs in Newcastle and Hunter region are so popular that families are joining waiting lists in the hope of getting a place. The opening of the Tuggerah Rainbow Club is scheduled for Saturday 30th April 2022 this year, and we are delighted to share that this popular program will be available on the Central Coast.”
Rainbow Club employs qualified swim teachers and gives each child the personal attention to help them overcome their unique difficulty in learning to swim.
The Swim the Rainbow program is a unique offering that personalises learning to swim for children with a disability. It provides social opportunities and recognises progress as a child moves through the colours of the rainbow.
Therapists and Support Coordinators recommend Rainbow Club because of the lessons’ individualised nature, the club atmosphere, and the opportunity to participate in social activities organised by the club.
The Rainbow Club at Tuggerah will be located at the Mariners Centre and is now open for registrations. To register your interest, visit: https://www.myrainbowclub.org.au/join-us/
