Central Coast Bushfire Fundraising

We’ve been sharing events and how local businesses on the Coast will be supporting those affected by the bushfires.

Please note: This post will be regularly updated so make sure you bookmark it to read the latest news!

 

OceanHaus Terrigal + Friends Fundraiser:

Wednesday 8th January

5-8pm at OceanHaus Terrigal there will be raffles /auctions and live music.

Mumbo Jumbos will be providing delicious food!

Avoca Surf House:

11th January

6am-10am drop off much needed items that will be delivered from the Coast to those who need it down south.

Central Coast Mariners:

12th January

To continue their on-going support of the the NSW RFS there will be volunteers at the game V Melbourne Victory on Sunday 12th January. Buy tickets to the game here. 

Treetops:

13th January

Treetops will be hosting an RFS Fundraiser & Appreciation day on the 13th January at their Central Coast location. A percentage of all ticket sales will be donated to the RFS.

Five Star Swim Schools:

13-19th January Five Star Swim Schools (Erina, Wyoming Niagara Park, Kerta Rd & Avoca Drive) will be donating 100% of the money paid for casual visit lap swimming to the NSW RFS

Hernandos Hideaway:

January 17th 100% of profits will be donated to those affected by fires. Funds raised will go to WIRES and NSW RFS more info

Gosford RSL:

23rd January

Gosford RSL is donating $7000 in prizes for a bushfire fundraising raffle. Pre-sale tickets on sale at the tills. Please note: You must be present on the 23rd to claim /pick your prize. Raffle starts at 7pm.

 

Long Jetty Bushfire Relief:

January 24th 4-10pm

Live music, silent auction, all proceeds going to Red Cross Disaster Relief and WIRES

Higher Grounds Kincumber:

24th January – Higher Grounds Kincumber – 5pm Fundraising Concert – $25 Entry at the door … all money goes to bush fire relief  -More details on their Facebook Page

Gosford Sailing Club:

Bushfire Relief Fundraiser 24th January – 27th January 
This Australia Day long weekend, every dollar from the sale of specially marked VB kegs will be donated to the Rotary Clubs of Australia Bushfire Disaster Fund.

We will also be conducting other fundraising activities including:

Mega Seafood Tray Raffle – 5pm Saturday 25th at The Boatshed.
Mega Meat Tray Raffle – 4pm Sunday 26th at The Boatshed.
Donation tins available at all bars throughout the Australia Day Long Weekend.
Please come along, raise a glass, and show your support for all those Australians affected by the recent devastating fires.

The Ettalong:

January 25th – 5pm

Join The Ettalong from 5pm as they raise money for the animals affected by the bushfires with all funds raised going directly to the Koala Hospital at Port Macquarie.

Enjoy live music, while drinks and raffles and more take place. Info here

Macmasters Long Weekend Book Sale:

January 25th Macmasters Progress Hall

Raffle $2 each or 3 for $5 or 6 for $10 – prizes include Family pass to Reptile Park (three available) Bellyfish Terrigal Voucher and more!

Spinnakers Killcare:

January 25th – 3pm

Free entry, family friendly, ocean terrace DJ, Bushfire Fundraiser, Prizes, BBQ, Drinks & more – info here

Bateau Bay Hotel:

January 26th – From 1pm – Free entry with raffles and BBQ and The INXS tribute show

Avoca Beach Surfhouse:

26th January – Avoca Surfhouse – Gather For Australia – a ticketed event raising funds for NSW Rural Fire Service, WIRES Wildlife, Australian Red Cross, Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and local Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary at Calga. Gather with us for an amazing grazing table, canapes and awesome entertainment. Details here

Throughout January

Central Coast Leagues Club:

As a gesture of our appreciation, we would like to offer all NSW Rural Fire Service staff and volunteers a free meal at Archie’s Brasserie for the month of January. Simply present your RFS ID card to claim this offer. 

Bells at Killcare:

Bells at Killcare will be donating all profits from any new bookings to Walkabout Wildlife Park at Calga. They are a privately owned business caring for injured and displaced wildlife from all over Australia.

BONUS: If you’d like to visit the park they’re offering a 15% discount on park entry until the end of April 2020. Simply mention “Bells” when booking your tickets.

The Lucky Bee:

The Lucky Bee will be donating $2 from their cocktail “It’s Raining AMEN!” to Wires rescue until the end of January More info

Pinot and Picasso Terrigal:

Throughout the month of January, they will be donating $10 from every ticket sold to one of their classes to the RFS. More info

Lucky Surf & Supply:

Will be raffling two surfboards to raise funds for the RFS & WIRES.

Donations:

The Lakes Hotel at The Entrance has donated $5,000 to the Vinnies Bushfire Appeal

Shelly Beach Golf Club and the local community raised $5,500 at a recent event with money raised going to Red Cross Australia

Sister Jo Bangles at Green Point has been working tirelessly to deliver food, equipment and vouchers to various RFS stations all over NSW. Bravo!
